Dr. Jennifer Greenfield practices Functional Medicine (FM), Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) and limited chiropractic. All of which explore the connection between the physical, biochemical, and emotional aspects of the body. She no longer accepts new chiropractic patients, but welcomes patients to her Functional Medicine and NET practice. Dr. Greenfield uses many diagnostic tools: laboratory testing such as blood, stool and saliva testing in order to determine the root cause of your condition. She will then use supplements, herbal extracts, homeopathic remedies, therapeutic diets, detoxification methods and/or stress-management techniques in order to restore function and balance to the body.
Dr. Kira Cervenka (Dr. K) utilizes chiropractic, myofascial release/trigger point therapy, functional exercises, and nutrition to help restore health. Dr. K has a variety of programs to help enhance athletic performance, recover from injury, or achieve a healthier foundation. The chiropractic techniques Dr. K uses are: Manual Adjusting, Thompson Drop Table, Cox Flexion Distraction, Dry Needling, and Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT). She is certified in Graston technique and in Selective Functional Movement Assessments (SFMA). She also has additional training in extremity assessment and adjustment. Depending on the patient's treatment goals, nutrition and supplementation may be utilized.
Frankye is a licensed acupuncturist committed to helping individuals achieve health and wellness -- mind, body, and spirit. After completing her undergraduate education at Duke University, she went on to study various traditional and indigenous healing modalities. Her fascination with mobilizing the body's innate healing power eventually inspired her to earn a certification in Ayurvedic Medicine from The Ayurvedic Institute and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from The New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) at MCPHS University.
This background combined with more than five years of clinical experience has taught Frankye how to maximize the unique therapeutic value of acupuncture, yoga, Ayurveda, and Chinese herbal medicine. She has witnessed personally and professionally the biopsychosocial transformation these methods facilitate - especially in cases of complete pain syndromes, emotional distress, and chronic health conditions.
Frankye's perspective and skill set allow her to create a unique clinical experience. Empowering patients with information, strategies, and therapies that promote health and wellness, within and beyond the clinic, is her treatment philosophy. When appropriate, she augments acupuncture with herbal prescriptions, evidence-based movement therapy, breathwork, and diet/lifestyle recommendations to restore balance to one's whole being and enhance quality of life.
Kathy became a massage therapist after spending 20 years nursing as an LPN. She believes she found the thing she was meant to do. After mastering the basic massage modalities, Kathy learned Cranio-Sacral therapies. The effect of connective tissue on the overall condition of the muscular and skeletal systems became fascinating to her. Acquiring these skills have helped her to get the effects of vigorous deep tissue with much less discomfort.
Kathy believes in the precept that we are more than just a physical body and that if we are experiencing a physical manifestation of an imbalance in our lives, therapies like Chiropractic and Massage can help patients identify where these imbalances may lie for themselves. Kathy is always willing to share what information and at home techniques she can with clients so they can reach self-discovery of health. Available for appointments Monday and Wednesday.
